FAQ

  • Topographic furniture is Topoform’s specialty. We refer to topographic furniture as a piece of furniture, wall art or decorative accent that features a scale model of real-world terrain.

Through advanced manufacturing methods as well as handmade touches, we can create a piece that is both truly stunning and deeply meaningful.

  • No. We would love to talk about any custom project, big or small. Any project that involves a carefully curated design and unmatched craftsmanship is of interest to us.

That being said, we know our niche. If something doesn’t seem right for us, we will be completely honest. It never hurts to have a conversation to see what you’re looking for. Fill out our project interest form and let’s see what we can do.

  • Topoform uses a unique finishing process on most of our topographic inlays. After machining, sanding and priming, a copper-infused paint is applied to the topography. Then, while the paint is still wet, an oxidizing solution is carefully sprayed on, creating a natural bright blue patina. The result is unpredictable, meaning every project is a bit different. Of course, if a client prefers a different finish, that is possible as well.

  • In general, a lead time of about 3 months is expected for a single piece of furniture. Bigger projects may have a longer timeline. We are happy to work with our clients’ timelines as well to accommodate their needs.

  • Our standalone furniture pieces, like tables and desks, start around the $2000 range, but every project varies based on the expected material and labor costs.
